Hoops and Loops provide a safe space and support for LGBT+ refugees and asylum seekers in the city centre in Cardiff. Hoops and Loops is a safe space to have a cup of tea or coffee, chat, socialise and get help with form filling etc.

The helpline is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
Micro Rainbow’s vision is to create a world where lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer and intersex (LGBTQI) people are free from discrimination, persecution and have equal opportunities in life, including in accessing employment, training, education, financial services, healthcare, housing, places of faith, and public services.
They do this by:
Providing safe housing to LGBTQI asylum seekers and refugees
Facilitating access to employment, volunteering, training and education for LGBTQI refugees through their moving on programme
Providing social inclusion activities to reduce the extreme isolation faced by LGBTQI people.
Micro Rainbow are currently running Body and Movement Dance Sessions in Cardiff.

Race Equality First currently operate two LGBT Coffee Mornings in Barry and Cardiff which have been running on the third Thursday and first Tuesday (respectively) of each month in a local cafe on Barry High Street and in Cardiff.
Both groups are well attended and support LGBT individuals with any issues they face, whilst providing the opportunity for participants to socialise with others, hear about local initiatives and gain advice in a supportive environment.
